Light - In their natural habitat Senecio loves the sun, and will develop stunning colour hues from pink to purple. However, intense evening sun for a longer period can leave burn marks on the leaves.

Water - When you water, avoid pouring water in the middle, try bottom watering instead. Let the plant dry out well before watering again, cutting back even more during autumn/winter as she is dormant.

Temperature - She prefers warm summer temperatures but over winter it will benefit your plant to have a cool night temperature of 8-10°C, as long as the soil isn’t wet. Central heating is not known to affect the plant, but be aware of the soil drying out too quickly.

Repotting - Once the roots are popping out of the drainage holes it’s time to repot. Wait until spring, make sure the soil is dry and remove as much as you can, use a well-draining succulent soil with perlite and leave to rest a week before watering. Leaves can be cut back and repotted again.

Toxicity - Toxic to pets.
