Strelitzia Nicolai

£35.00

☀️ - Thrives in bright, indirect light. You can allow some morning or afternoon sun but shield it from intense and direct as this will scorch her leaves.

💧 - Keep the soil a little more damp during summer, over winter allow it to dry out more. Increase frequency with increased light and hot weather. Prefers humid conditions particularly during winter.

🌡️ - Prefers warm temperatures from 21-28°C and we would recommend you don’t let her sit in cold rooms over winter. She would not handle temperatures lower than 13°C.

🪴- Prefers to be root bound but repot every couple of years using a rich, well-draining potting mix or as she outgrows her pot.

🐾 - Not pet friendly.

This is a fast growing and lush tropical plant with glossy green, paddle shaped leaves. White Bird of Paradise is the common name as they produce humming bird-like flowers as the plant matures. These will be white and slightly larger than the colourful Strelitzia Reginae flower.

NOTE: Plant is not sold at the flowering stage. Leaf damage does naturally occur on Strelitzia when they split their leaves as the plant matures. Try to rotate your plant occasionally to encourage even growth.
