FAQs

Do I need an appointment? No appointment needed just drop in during opening hours. We do ask that you arrive at least an hour before closing so you have plenty of time to enjoy your session.

Can I bring my own pot? Absolutely. Bring any pot you love and we'll make sure it's the right fit for your plant.

Do I need experience? Not at all. The station is fully equipped for independent repotting and we're on hand if you'd like any tips along the way.

Why DIY? It's a great option if you don't have space at home, want to skip the mess, or just don't need a whole bag of soil for one plant. You get the satisfaction of doing it yourself in a space set up to make it easy.

Can I mix my own soil? Yes. We provide a range of components so you can put together exactly the right mix for your plant.

Is there a size limit? We can accommodate most plants. For anything going into a pot 35cm or larger, we'll give you a quote in-store and walk you through the best approach. If you have a particularly large plant, it's worth emailing us at info@greenka.uk ahead of your visit so we can make sure we have the right pots ready.

What tools are available? Trowels, scoops, brushes, and everything else you need to repot safely and confidently.

How do I check my plant for pests before visiting? Please give your plant a good look-over before you come in. Check under leaves and along stems for any bugs or eggs, look out for sticky residue or webbing, and inspect the soil for anything unusual. If you do spot signs of pests, please treat your plant at home first to keep the station safe for everyone.

A Note on Root Shock

Repotting is a positive thing for your plant, but even with the gentlest hands, disturbing a root system can cause some temporary stress. You might notice yellowing leaves, drooping, leaf drop, or slower growth in the days after repotting, this is normal and most plants bounce back well with the right aftercare.

Recovery varies depending on the plant's age, species, and overall health. By using our DIY Station, you're acknowledging that some short-term stress can be part of the process. We'll always share aftercare advice to give your plant the best possible start in its new pot.
