Ceropegia is without a doubt a must for all plant lovers. Elegant yet cute, fragile yet robust, unique in her appearance and so very forgiving. She has long vining stems, subtle marbled heart-shaped leaves with a green lace pattern and pinkish-purple hue on undersides of the leaves, and her semi-succulent nature means ongoing upkeep is minimal. Rosary Vine or Chain of Hearts, Ceropegia Woodii is native to South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.
Please note: Ceropegia Woodii vines are gently coiled to protect them in transit. We recommend that once you’ve received yours take time to unfurl the vines around the pot. This will encourage growth so don’t worry if a few leaves fall off.
☀️- Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct morning or evening sunlight. Avoid harsh midday sun, which can scorch its delicate leaves.
💧- Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In winter, reduce watering further to prevent root rot.
🌡️- Thrives in temperatures between 18°C to 24°C. Protect from frost and avoid exposure to temperatures below 10°C.
🪴- Repot every 2-3 years in spring using a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. A shallow pot works well for its trailing growth habit.
🐾- Non-toxic to pets.
