Maranta leuconeura Exclusive Grey

Maranta leuconeura 'Exclusive Grey' is a beautifully unusual Prayer Plant with soft grey-green foliage patterned with deep green markings and delicate veining. Native to the tropical forests of Brazil, this Maranta has a more muted, elegant colour palette than many other varieties, giving it a calm, understated look that works beautifully in shelves, plant clusters, or smaller indoor spaces.

Like other Prayer Plants, her leaves gently raise and fold in the evening in response to light changes, giving the plant its well-known “prayer” movement. With the right conditions, she may also produce small pale flowers during the growing season.

☀️- She thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can fade the delicate leaf colouring and scorch the foliage.

💧- Prefers lightly moist soil. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, ensuring the compost does not dry out completely. She appreciates higher humidity and benefits from regular moisture in the air.

🌡️- Ideal temperatures are 18-27°C. She enjoys warmth and should be kept away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes.

🪴- Use a rich, well-draining compost with added perlite to help retain moisture while allowing airflow. Repot every 1-2 years or when roots begin to outgrow the pot.
