UK’s favourite plant but she is native to Central-America. Monstera is a vining plant that loves to trail over the pot or climb along a stake or a trellis. With tapering, big and lusciously green leaves and signature holes. Monstera’s natural leaf fenestration is recognised all over the plant world and gives her a dramatic looking look, so make sure you have a statement space for her to grow.
☀️ - Place your Monstera Deliciosa in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions, but for optimal growth and the development of its distinctive leaf fenestrations, provide it with filtered sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.
💧 - Allow the soil to dry mostly between waterings but not bone dry. Increase frequency with increased light and hot weather. Prefers humid conditions if possible but does well in normal room humidity as well. During the colder months let the soil dry out completely and water sparingly.
🌡️ - Maintain a warm environment for your Monstera Deliciosa, with temperatures between 18-28°C. It is sensitive to cold drafts and should be protected from temperatures below 10°C. This plant thrives in a humid environment, making it well-suited for bathrooms or regular misting.
🪴 - Repot your Monstera Deliciosa every 1-2 years or when the roots outgrow the current container. Use a well-draining potting mix with added organic matter. Spring is an ideal time for repotting to coincide with the plant's active growth season.
🐾- Toxic to pets.
