Philodendron Scandens - Sweetheart Plant

Featuring lush, perfect heart-shaped leaves cascading gracefully from a hanging planter, this plant is often given as a gift for love, abundance and new beginnings. Native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, it’s loved for its easy-going nature and adaptability. It grows at a fast pace during the warmer months and requires minimal care, making it a delightful addition to any space. 

☀️ - The ideal location for Philodendron is bright, indirect light but some soft morning or afternoon sun will enhance the growth and keep the plant lush and lovely.

💧 - During spring and summer let the soil dry out mostly, just keeping the root level every so slightly damp. Water generously through allowing any excess moisture to drain well. During the colder months you should let the soil dry out completely, water well, and drain.

🌡️ -Thrives in temperatures between 18-27°C, Philodendron enjoys a warm and humid environment. Protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes, as it prefers stable conditions for optimal growth.

🪴 - Repot once the roots are visible from the drainage holes or you’ve had the plant for over a year, in a rich, well-draining soil. A mix of perlite, housepotting mix and bark is a great potting medium.
