Pilosocereus gounellei | Pilosocereus braunii

Pilosocereus gounellei, commonly known as the Blue Torch Cactus and also called Xique-xique, is a bold, sculptural cactus with tall, upright blue-green stems and a strong architectural form. Native to the dry landscapes of Brazil, this cactus develops its signature silvery-blue colouring as it matures. Its branching, tree-like habit gives it real presence, making it a standout in any cactus collection or modern plant display

☀️- She thrives in bright light and loves direct sun. The more light she receives, the stronger her colour and growth will be. Not suitable for low-light spaces.

💧- Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially in winter, as she is highly drought tolerant and sensitive to overwatering.

🌡️- Ideal temperatures are 18–30°C. She prefers warm, dry conditions and must be protected from frost.

🪴- Use a very free-draining cactus mix with added grit or sand. Repot only when necessary, ideally in spring.

🐾- Not pet friendly.
